Sometimes
You just need a little distance
To take your head out of the sand
And see the bigger picture.
Sometimes, it could be mental distance.
Meditation, prayer, yoga and other spiritual practices can bring you back to a more open and connected state of being.

From that distance, all of our hate, politics, and violence seem so petty.
