Sometimes

You just need a little distance

To take your head out of the sand

And see the bigger picture.

Sometimes, it could be mental distance.

Meditation, prayer, yoga and other spiritual practices can bring you back to a more open and connected state of being.

Talking to yourself in second or third-person can help your mind see something from a different, oftentimes more productive perspective.

Sometimes, it could be physical distance.

Going on vacation or even taking a walk in the woods shifts your awareness into a more distanced state and can give you perspective.
